Mendocino area for a week-suggestions
 

We will be staying in Caspar, outside of Mendocino, for a week starting Oct. 2nd. Suggestions? We have no itinerary and open to suggestions.

Just to get you started the Botanic Gardens https://www.gardenbythesea.org , the Skunk Train. https://www.skunktrain.com , Pacific Star Winery (OK wines, amazing setting) https://www.pacificstarwinery.com , several State Parks, Mendocino of course , . . . Lots more but jI'm leaving for a couple of hours . . . Others will chime in

Do have dinner at the Heritage House, where the movie Same Time Next Year was filmed. Fabulous location, we stayed there for a few nights couple years ago. Couple miles (south I believe) of downtown Mendocino. Guess wineries would be your best best, also loads of national forests in the area.
