Memphis, TN area info
 

I'm considering a trip to Memphis and New Orleans in April and I'd like to get some feedback on the quality, safety, etc. of a couple of areas where I'm considering staying. The first is in Memphis at 4760 Showcase. The second is about 12 miles out on Hungary Fisherman Drive in Southaven, MS.

I'd appreciate any words of wisdom.

4760 Showcase is not a great neighborhood. Why are you staying there?

I usually stay at one or the other of the Marriott brands and one showed up there. that's why I asked about the location. Thanks for the info.

I would find something that is downtown so you can walk to Beale Street.

If you want a Marriott property, there's a wonderful Residence Inn downtown. It's within walking distance of lots of good restaurants and Beale Street, too.
