Memphis safety help

Does anyone live in Memphis or travel there often? If you were me, a woman traveling alone with one child, would you feel okay about driving from the Memphis Airport to our hotel in Collierville at 11 p.m.?

I don't know about Memphis crime but Collierville features a Town Square and Main Street with Antebellum and late 19th Century architecture and unusual shops and restaurants. Collierville's downtown area is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and in 2014 Collierville's historic town square was ranked by Parade as the "Best Main Street" in America.
