Memphis

Just came back from spending a few days in Memphis. Ate at Corky's and The Rendezvous and was quite pleased with the Dry Ribs and pulled pork that Memphis has to offer.

In the evenings I hung out on Beale street and there were multiple places to have a drink and listen to some blues music. Downtown Memphis felt safe and I would book a hotel downtown if I were to go again.

A great place to go if you like food and music. I was quite impressed with Memphis as it was better than I expected.

I couldn't agree more, Memphis is a much nicer city than most people expect. I have friends who have never been to Memphis and they think Graceland is all Memphis has to offer. Not to speak against Graceland, but when I remember my trip to Memphis, I think first of the great food, music, and nice people.

Me too; we had the BEST time here. Love Corky's!

Glad you liked it but you'll have to go again. Corky's and the Rendevous are classic tourist traps...there's much better BBQ in town.

Corky's and The Rendevous may be tourist traps, but they both have great BBQ to serve the tourists! Both are consistent and I would not turn either of them down.

Even though Corky's may be a tourist trap, I'm still craving the BBQ after a visit 5 years ago. I would go back without hesitation. Buongiorno, can you give us your BBQ recommendations? I'll save it for the next time I visit.
