We are leaving on the 25th for Vienna & Salzburg in Austria, and Nice, France. However, if I were doing a long weekend in the states, I would go to one of the following: DC, Philly, Boston, or Montauk. Obviously I am from the east coast. I am also just now getting information regarding New Brunswick, Canada. Short flight from NYC and lots of natural wonders to explore. Looks divine. Possibly for Labor Day or July 4th holidays.

The Indy 500 is a Memorial weekend blast if you like racing/party crowds. I'm not going this year but have attended many times. Book a room now if you plan to go.

Renting a houseboat on Lake Cumberland Kentucky.

Putting our bikes on in Folsom and peddling about 25 miles down the American River Bike Trail to Old Town Sacramento for the start of the Old Sac Jazz Festival.

We'll chow down some gooood Cajun cookin'and listen to some zydeco just to help us get by until we hit New Orleans again.

And please don't forget the real meaning of Memorial Day! Thank a vet.

If I were staying in the USA I'd probably go someplace I've never been before; the desert, maybe, out west.
