It's about 4:00 pm, Saturday, here in our Paradise by the Pacific and I'm signing off for the weekend for a little Memorial Day travel. See all you Fodorites on Tuesday.

Before I go, allow me to ask you all to take a moment or two on Memorial Day to think of our military personnel, past and present, who sacrifice so much to serve the country (whichever country you happen to be in).

Hubby and i just finished watching the DVD "Pearl Harbor", reflecting on our nation and its history.....

Let me say Thank You for the good wishes, and GOD BLESS. I am remembering my DAD this weekend, who spent 30 yrs in the Air Force. And saying So LONG to my son, who will leave Tuesday for deployment with the Army. Even tho he will be stateside, his wife and 4 daughters will be on their own for the first time. Also have a nephew overseas and little brother did 3 world tours with the USN, which step-son has recently enlisted in as well. Luv 2 ALL

Thanks to all our service men and women, past and present.
