Memorable places to stay SFO-Seattle
 

Hi,
we will be doing a roadtrip from san fransisco to seattle with stops in the vicinity of eureka, orick, eugene, portland, seattle and vancouver. We are looking for special/beautiful/memorable places to stay.
We live on a small island in the Caribbean, so we will be driving a lot each day down the coastline and taking in all the beauty around us. We are looking for beautiful scenery and anything not available to us because we live on a tiny little island. Any suggestions anybody?

In Eugene, Valley River Inn is a nice place. On the river, nice walking path along the river, bike rentals available and nice restaurant.
