Melbourne, Fla airport, how to get there?

Could anyone help me out with getting to the airport in Melbourne, Florida? I know it's a small airport so not many flights or airlines service it. I'll be coming from Newbugh, New York, Jet Blue, Delta and US Airways fly out of there, I think.

I'm trying to piece together a short visit the least painful way.

Thanks,
Aranda

For the most up to date info, call the airlines and/or google Melbourne Airport.

None of the NYC area airports have direct flights to Melbourne. You can connect through Atlanta on Delta from any of the three.

An alternative is to fly to Orlando airport, 75 miles from Melbourne. You can fly direct to Orlando from any NYC airport.

Thanks everyone, your tips are priceless. Decided to just fly to Orlando and drive. Too much trouble to change planes, etc.

Good choice, aranda. There are only two airlines that fly into Melbourne (Delta and USAir) and they run a limited schedule of flights. Much easier to fly to Orlando and drive over. That's what most of us who live in the area do.
