Melbourne, FL Dining

Restaurant recommendations for Melbourne, Melbourne Beach or Satellite Beach?
Interested in all flavors, but would like to hear about seafood destinations.

I lived in that area for years, but the really great seafood restaurants I recall might not be there now. I hope someone who really knows the area and lives there will respond. My favorite many years ago was the Black Swan, but I'm sure it's closed now.

There is always Mustard's Last stand in Melbourne. Every time we are in the area it is a must stop place for us.

We like the one in Historic Downtown Melbourne the best..

In Melbourne, (downtown Melbourne), try Island Pasta, Matt's Tropical Grill, Meg O'Malleys, Continental Flambe.

A co-worker of mine lives in Melbourne Beach and is a good source of restaurant recommendations there - I'll ask her about seafood places and post back tomorrow.

D'oh! Slaps forehead. How could I forget Islands Fish Grill in Indialantic? Great seafood. http://islandsfishgrill.com/

RedRock, have you ever tried LongDoggers?

Not yet. We haven't made it past Mustard's yet. I think we are trying to try one of each dog on the menu... Just love their garlic fries..... LOL

We will keep LongDoggers in mind.. Thanks.

Thanks for the leads. I hadn't picked up on any of these places from other sources.

stumpworks, I did ask the co-worker who told me her favorite seafood placed closed a few months back. :-( btw, I keep calling it Matt's Tropical Grill, but it's actually Matt's Casbah.

Haven't been for a few years but the Hilton on the Ocean had a fantastic seafood buffet on Friday evenings! A little bit of everything seafood.

Visited Island Fish Grill and had an excellent meal. Specialty of the house is Grouper with onion glaze. Would have again.

Ichabods is a good casual destination as is Bunky's Raw Bar. Appalachicola oysters were very fine.
