Meeting Place at O'hare

I am finding the Maps of Ohare a bit difficult to read as I try to pick a spot to meet.

2 of us come into terminal Three (Delta/American) about 10 minutes after 1 other from California on United (Terminal 2). So fundamentally at the same time. We should all likely be carry on only. All at about 3pm on Friday.

Would like to suggest a comfortable spot in case of delays etc. before we jump in a taxi for a trip to Evanston.

I know it is a minor thing but we are 3 old friends getting together - away from kids and husbands for a quick trip and the smoother and more planned out the more we can just all relax once we get on the plane.

Thoughts/Ideas???

Thanks.

United flights are generally through terminal one, although with the constant construction, you could wind up at almost any gate. Terminal 2 has the most work going on at the moment, so I would avoid that as a meeting place.

Terminals 1-3 are linked on the upper "Departure" level. I suggest that the passenger on United walk from terminal 1 through 2 to terminal 3. She should not exit through the security checks until she reaches terminal 3. She can meet you in the baggage claim area on the lower level of terminal 3. This is also the level for the taxi stand.

Instead of walking from T1 to T3, there's a monorail that connects all of the terminals. You have to leave security, but so what. Just a thought.

I don't know O'hare well enough to say specifically, but I prefer a meeting place such as an airport restaurant, rather than standing around in baggage claim, in case the delay is more significant than expected.

There are several snack counters with seating in the rotunda at the entrance to Concourse G.

There is also a Cinnabon and several snack places in the main hall of Terminal 2 inside the security checkpoint. If you want something to do while you're waiting, there's also a slide and play area. ;-)

It's been a while since I've been inside T2, but I believe the construction was supposed to be along the access roads.

Thanks - I like suggestion to stay inside security. Any easy to find place in terminal 3 - inside security where we could sit and get a bite in case of delays?
