Medieval Torture Museum Experience

Hi. I am planning to spend Christmas in Chicago and have started choosing attractions for a fun and educational time.

I saw an advertisement that the Medieval Torture Museum was opening near the Chicago Theater. My friend was in the same one in St. Augustine, FL and says it's fantastic.

Has anyone been to this Museum in Chicago? Maybe someone was in both and can compare? Does it worth it? Do you have a photo to share?

Respect!

Nothing says Christmas like a torture museum.

(Sorry. Couldn't resist...)

I went to one in Rothenburg Germany. It was very interesting.

I just thought: why not? ;)

There are so many fine museums in Chicago that wouldn’t waste time/money on it. But it depends on your level of interest. The one in Rothenburg is very popular, yet it just became monotonous for me after the first 15 minutes or so. I spent most of my time in the special exhibit.

so I suppose if you’ve never been to a medieval torture museum…well, I’m a try something at least once kind of gal, why not?

(I will say that after looking at the website that it appears to be more “experience” than “museum”. I always hate those. So melodramatic. And that one looks especially…um…interesting. But my relatives love them. So ymmv.)
