Medieval Times - Chicago Area

How is this Medieval Times? Do you think it's worth the $42 per adult price? How long is the show? Thanks

You have to go there with the mindset that you are going to have fun. It's perfect to take kids to. My friend and I thought it was a hoot--we were both 40 when we went. If you sit there like a lump and don't even try to get into the show, you won't enjoy it. You eat your meal with your hands and you see a great show of falconry, horsemanship, and jousting. It seems to me that the show was at least a couple of hours. It was hard to keep track of time, because you're eating while the show's going on. I've never really done anything else like it, so it's hard for me to say whether or not a particular person would enjoy it. The only thing we didn't like was that they take a lot a pictures and try to sell them to you. We though it was worth the price. We also had a coupon from their website.

Shows good. Foods good. But its you vs. Medieval Times, and their going to try suck all of the $$$ out of you that they can. They will especially try to sell pictures to the kids, with you paying of course. Also skip the dungeon room or whatever they call it, it's extra ofcourse, and its not worth it. If you're not careful you can spend a LOT of money there.

Save yourself! Personally, I won't go anyplace where the emphasis is on LARGE amounts of food. Check out the commercials - people eating huge turkey legs like wild animals.
I'll pass.

The above poster states that they put emphasis on LARGE amounts of food but hasn't actually been there. This is a case of a commercial not coming through on its promise. :)

We went to MT in Toronto. The meal was well spaced and we were not served a huge buffet or unreasonably large portions. The servers were amusing (telling the kids that the grilled chicken was grilled baby dragon, etc.) but the emphasis was on the show, not the food.

Please check out their website before you go. I missed a printable coupon that would have saved us some bucks!

My teenage son went to the show, brought me a flier and said this would be great for me too to see, so I'm forwarding his recommendation :)
