MCI longterm parking

The satellite parking is pretty reasonable and easy to use at the Kansas City Airport, but I have a 10 day trip coming up. That is long enough that I am curious what alternatives people like at MCI?

Hi Keith, Try "The Parking Spot" or Thrifty. They both have parking and shuttles to MCI, plus your car is ready and waiting when you come back. I seem to always miss the exits though, so give them a call for price and good directions. By the way, I appreciated your MI advice from Feb.

I always use the Thrifty lot. I believe it's the I29 Mexico City exit. I always come from the north so when I can see the Thrifty lot and know it's the next exit.

The new long term parking is a delight with DIRECT bus service to the terminal you are leaving from...no more looping through all the terminals to get to your. If you are leaving from say B terminal then you park in B lot in long term and direct bus to terminal picks you up. Have never waited longer than 5 minutes or so for the bus in lot either. Very much improved and the price is good also.

I was a bit peaved when I used it last week. I was in the lot for 48 hours and 4 minutes.

They charge for 3 full days.

Only other complaint about the new arrangement is I have had some long waits for the bus, both from the lot and from the terminal.

I use Parking Spot for both business and perosnal travel at a corporate rate of I beleive $4 a day. I've also done the KCI Shuttle which was cheaper than parking at the airport, plus, I live downtown and have several options close by as to where I can pick it up. This option would probably only be worth it if you lived downtown or on the Plaza.

I have to tell you what I thought of when I read the heading on this post.

In Massachusetts, "MCI" stands for "Mass. Correctional Institute" -- prison.

So I wondered: If you're going to prison, can't you find someplace else to leave your car?

How funny k. I was just going to post the same thing. Although with the parking situation in Boston it might almost be worth it to do a short stretch.
