I posted this news on the general catagory thread by accident. It has been bought out by the Fairmont chain. Sad news for we Starwood lovers.

Sad news for "us" Starwood lovers. It doesn't matter where you post it unless we're doing a search it all ends up on the United States forum.<BR><BR>Ugh, I wish people would learn how to use this site before they post. Also, how about exercising some of that grammar you were taught in grade school!

Hey, "x," her grammar IS correct! "We," NOT "Us," is the proper grammar and it is YOU who MUST return to school!!

Well, we might need an English professor to sort this one out, but, Dan, I do believe that x is right. If you said, "We Starwood lovers are sad" then you would be correct. However, when you insert the preposition "for" into the sentence, then you need the objective case of the pronoun, which is "us".

Dan, you provided my laugh for the day. I'm glad Betty was able to adequately explain that the structure of the sentence requires the use of "us" rather than "we".
