Mauna Kea or Mauna Lani?
 

Hmmm...one seems to have the better beach and the other, better accomodations...

What's the scoop?

Or, the Hapuna Prince? We can get an ocean-view suite which looks lovely!

I've only been to Mauna Kea and stayed at Hapuna Prince. However, here's my take:

1. HP & MK have the best beaches-hands down
2. HP- is much newer than MK
3. MK & ML have the best golf courses
(HP guests can use MK course)
4. They're probably rated as follows 1.ML, 2. MK 3. HP (that being said, I recommend HP..especially if you get a great rate)
5. If beach is important...go w/ HP or MK

We faced the same decision and ended up at Mauna Kea due to the fantastic beach. Never did visit Mauna Lani or Hapuna Price, but I can tell you that we were pleased with the Mauna Kea. Enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere and large lawn area for lounging. Rates were better than Mauna Lani, which was our 2nd choice for elegance and lack of conventioneers.

Thanks. We got an oceanfront suite at the HP w/ breakfast. Can't wait. Any special requests or rooms/floors that would be better at the HP?
