Maui Wailea Condos
 

We are planning next Spring to go to Maui for the first time. We are looking for a condo right on the beach that would be close to restaurants, shopping, etc. Is there a nice condo on the beach that has a good "walking" beach?

There are alot of nice condos on walking beaches that are close to shopping and restaurants located in the neighboring resorts and hotels in Wailea. The closest condos to the beach would be Polo Beach Club and Wailea Elua Village. Condos a little further walk from the beach would be Wailea Marriott, Wailea Beach Villas, Wailea Ekolu and Ekahi. There is a walkway that extends along the beach all along the Wailea resort so you can walk between the resorts and Shops at Wailea. Many of the beaches in Wailea are not super long, but they are lovely nontheless.

Keawakapu Beach is a wonderful walking beach. It starts in Kihei and extends into the northeren part of Wailea. Wailea Ekahi Village has a pool and beach pavillion on this beach, but most of the condo units are located up and away off the beach.

Wailea Elua has beachfront units right on Ulua Beach.

Polo Beach Club
Makena Surf is a mile south of Wailea. I think it is the nicest condo in the area. It is on a great stretch of beach.

Polo Beach Club would be my choice in Wailea. Just steps to the sand from all units. The beach walkway starts right behind it. An excellent source for "by owner" units is the South Maui Condo Owners website: www.mauiownercondos.com.

Wailea Ekahi is in a very convenient walking distance to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. There should be some good deals right now.
