Maui sunset time in June?
We will be going to Maui in June for our anniversary. I am planning on which restaurants to make my reservations, but I want to be there during Sunset. What time would that be in June (11th to 19th)?

Go to weatherunderground.com. Look up the city on Maui you'll be nearest to, and put in your dates from 2004. It will give you every bit of weather data you could ever want.

Just something to consider...
Last summer I so carefully planned my sunset reservations at several nice restaurants on Maui (Nick's, Sarento's, etc.) using sunrisesunset.com. We would always be seated on the patio in time to sweat under the slanting sun before it began to set. Then we had to look at the menu and order during the whole thing. Later I wished we had sat on the beach and had a cocktail as we enjoyed the almost spiritual experience of a Hawaii sunset. And THEN went to dinner. That's what I would do next time... |
crazy, that is what we do too. We do sunset at the beach or from our lanai, and then we go to dinner

If you can plan a dinner in Kapalua Bay do so for the sunset. We were there for our honeymoon in July (years ago) but I can't remember the exact name of it...Kapaula Bay Golf maybe?? It is just down the road from Kapalua Bay Hotel. The sunset was spectacular and you can request a window table, but just make the reservation about 30 minutes before sunset to ensure the table.

A wonderful beachfront/sunset view restaurant is I'o in Lahaina on a quiet stretch of beach. There is covered open-air seating, and a tropical garden seating area. Fabulous food, seafood specialty. www.iomaui.com
