Maui Snorkeling--Trilogy, Rainbow Chaser?
 

Hi! Looking for feedback on Trilogy snorkel trips and Rainbow Chaser snorkel trips. Anyone have any thoughts? Looking for a trip that's fun without that cattle-car feeling.

Actually is why I went with Paragon. We had a boat of 19 people for a day trip to Lanai. Left out of the harbor in Lahaina. Were several Cattle-call boats at our spot when we got there. Fortunately they were leaving so we had the place all to ourselves. Food was good, service was GREAT. Was the highlight of our trip.

I cannot comment on Trilogy but I took the Rainbow Chaser I Snorkle Trip 10 almost 10 years ago and it was the best snorkle trip I have ever taken (I have taken many since). I do not think they have the Rainbow Chaser I anymore. It't now the Rainbow Chaser II and it's limited to 6 couples and very pricy. I inquired 3 years ago about this trip but due to $$ did not go on.

Now for my next trip this September I have emailed the site 3 times now with no reply. I also picked up the 3rd edition of Maui Revealed and Rainbow Chaser II is no longer mentioned (they were mentioned in the 2nd edition). I wonder if they are still in service?

I've done Trilogy a number of times, though not recently, and absolutely loved the trips. The boats were never crowded, the lunch was some excellent barbequed chicken and salad (on real plates with silverware) and the crew was fabulous.

Thanks for the responses. I saw the Raibbow Chaser site, but there are no prices shown, so I figured it would be more expensive than I would like. (MauiTiki: the site says to call rather than e-mail--you may want to try that.) Trilogy seems like a nice compromise, but I will also research Paragon.

Your right. I guess I should call I just thought it was weird that I emailed them twice with no reply. From what I remember, 3 years ago they quoted me a price of $200+ per person.
