Maui Sheraton Rooms

We will be staying at the Sheraton mid-March of this year and are looking for room recommendations. What are the advantages/disadvantages to the various buildings? Any info/advice about the hotel would be greatly appreciated.

How many people? Are you taking Kids or on honeymoon? Room catagories are pretty tricky. How much did you want to spend? I can tell you the rooms we looked at and in what builing.

Not honeymoon but just adults. I have a 50% off coupon through an airline FF program. I have booked ocean front deluxe for $305. However, the complex looks large & spread out and wondered about the cliff buildings. Also, within those buildings, are there advantages/disadvantages?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Building 6 contains ocean front deluxe rooms - they are VERY nice. The rooms are located closest to the ocean of any at the hotel. I can't think of any disadvantages of these rooms - this is the building I ask for when I stay at this hotel. You can sleep with your balcony open and hear the waves hitting the rocks below. The Ocean view and poolside rooms are set back from the beach with the pool in front of the room area - not nearly as nice (and the rooms are smaller.) I don't know if other buildings have ocean front deluxe rooms - but building 6 is wonderful. Hope this helps - have a good trip.

The cliff rooms are beautiful and the Sheraton is very spread out. Only disadvantage I can see is it will take you quite awhile to walk to everything, mostly the lobby and food areas. We went the 15 -20 of March 2002 and the whales were there. Be sure and get a room with a view if you want to watch the whales from you lalani! Other option is ground floor building closest to the walkway and Kaanapali Beach Hotel (next door) They are suites with mirowaves and kitchen area. Much bigger with living room area and very large bathrooms and a beautiful lawn right outside your patio door and the walkway to the beach. You could have 2 couples in these rooms easliy.
