MAUI - SCUBA / SNORKLE

Leave for Maui in 3 days!! Can't wait!!

1. Half of our group is cert. & the other 1/2 isn't. Does anyone know of a boat that offers both snorkling & scuba diving?

2. Any suggests for Christmas dinner?

3. Any suggestions for massages / pedicure / manicure? The resort $$$ are outrageous. Can anyone suggest a local shop or person.

Hi--we are also going to be on Maui for Christmas. We were hoping for Christmas brunch, but, instead many restaurants are offering special dinners starting about 4:30 p.m. on. Waterfront in Kihei will be closed for Christmas. We have reservations for Sarrento's on the beach.

We rented snorkel equipment from the Maui Dive shop and got a coupon for a free snorkel trip on one of their boats. Had been out to Molokini on Fourwinds II with son and his girlfriend. They went to Hana the next day and we tried out the freebie. Afternoon trip leaving from Maalea. Had both divers (most on first dive, however) and snorkelers. Went back to a different spot at Molokini (deeper water, for one thing) and had pretty good snorkeling. Don't know if the diving was all that good, but the snorkeling was fine and the price was right. Good spots from land for both:
Honolua Bay (northwest Maui)-also boat trips from Lahaina; Ulua Beach and Ahihi Bay in Waimea have good snorkeling and also diving.

Enjoy!

Scuba Shack offers both snorkel and diving, but just a heads up - the owner is a piece of work! Would never go with them again.
