Those of you who have recently been to Maui please tell me
about the prices of food, gas, etc. Just wondering for instance, what would be the cost of a plain cup of coffee at a restaurant? What is a gallon of gasoline? What does a typical pancake breakfast with bacon cost? Or what are the prices of a cheeseburger? Taxi ride from airport? Glass of Diet Pepsi?

If you are on a really tight budget, go to Costco and Walmart near the airport to get supplies. It may be cheaper to rent a car through Priceline than take a taxi around. Also, one of my friend brings nonperishable food when she travels to Hawaii to save on costs.

I have only stayed in Lahaina and found breakfast prices similar to what I would pay at home (Seattle).

Your hotel front desk should be able to tell you the price to expect for a taxi from the airport to them.
