Maui Luau Question

Hi, in reading descriptions some of them state "buffet" some don't say anything, some mention table and chairs... Are all luaus buffet style, or some have table service like a restaurant?

The only one I know of with service at the table is Feast at Lele, which is really more a Polynesian revue than luau. Very good food and an equally good show. https://www.feastatlele.com/

On Trip advisor somebody posted it is a buffet, this is why I asked. On the website it looks like they have table service.

Feast at Lele is table service. Loved it!

We did Drums of Pacific. Thought it was good, had no basis of comparison, though.

Oh, the one at the Hyatt - it's on our list, sent to "the kids" already.

I did a "comparison chart" in Excel - there are some differences.

The only reserved table luau with waitstaff on Maui that I know about is Feast At Lele in Lahaina. They serve a higher grade of food and liquor. It's owned by the same people who do Old Lahaina Luau, but that one is buffet. The OLL is strictly "Hawaiian". Most of the others are "Polynesian" (include more than just the Hawaiian islands and have a fire dancer).

Thank you, Chi, I haven't noticed the difference!
