maui/lanai ferry
 

Does anyone know if there are luggage restrictions on the maui/lanai ferry? Can we take golf clubs? Also, we'll be trying to catch a flight, so do you know if they run on schedule or are frequently cancelled?

that ferry- unless they changed it- is a pretty small ship- people bring motorbikes aboard, so i dpn't know why clubs would be a problem.
i have been on a lot of ferries in developing countries, etc. but that short trip ranks as one of the scariest ever. it's a rough crossing esp. near lanai.
no idea about timeliness. if you are catching a flight...why not fly off the island and right to the airport?

Thanks for the input, Kerikeri. There aren't any direct flights from Lanai to Maui. All are routed through Ohau and the flight schedules would put us in Maui 5 hours before our direct flight to the mainland. We really wanted to try to take the ferry so we had more time in Lanai and less time at airports.
