Maui- kid friendly restaurants

Any recommendations for a kid friendly restaurant in the Lahaina area?

We've been to Kimo's w/o the kidlets and I think that would be a good place.

Any other suggestions? :)

How about Aloha Mixed Plate? All outdoor seating right on the ocean. The outdoor seating on the sand at Aloha Grill on Ka'anapali Beach. There's always the local McDonalds in Lahaina.

BubbaGump would be good.

Moose McGillicuddy's was enjoyed by my kids. Cheeseburger in Paradise also. Ditto on the Aloha Mixed Plate. And try Maui tacos.

Aloha Mixed Plate, Bubba Gump, and Cheeseburger in Paradise are all great suggestions imo!

Aloha Mixed Plate would be great for kids.
Maui Tacos is great, but it is more like fast food than a sit-down restaurant.

We ate Maui Tacos and also at a dinerish place called Peggy Sue's - they had great burgers and shakes. Agree with Aloha Mixed Plate too.

I believe mauigirl50 might have meant "The Hula Grill" at Whalers Village in Kaanapali Beach. The Barefoot Bar (which always children with adults and part of The Hula Grill) is actually in the sand. It feels good to the feet as you kick off your sandals or shoes. Great appetizers and drinks.

LOVE the ideas of Cheesburger in Paradise (because you could always walk around Lahaina if you have to wait), and the Hula Grill Bar where you sit in the sand. Both great suggestions for Mommies, Daddies, and Kids.

P.S. My husband and I are both retired, and we still love the informal atmosphere of the Hula Grill Bar. So you and your husband would have fun and have what we value most---- dinner on the beach with the sand under your feet and the sound of the waves. We like the more informal atmospheres anyway..........

Definitely Hula Grill. We were there a few years back with our 1 yr old and keiki (kids's) meals were FREE. Of course, Mom and Dad made up for that by having a couple Mai Tai's each....but we ate there a few times.

Our son loved playing in the sand and was entertained immensely.

The food is great too!

Golpher, you're right - I did mean Hula Grill. The Cool Cat cafe at Wharf Center right on Front St in Lahaina is also good. If you sit on the Front St side, you can look out at Banyon Tree park. Good burgers & malts, etc.

Cool Kat Cafe was fun (live music) and would be great with kids, but the food isn't great. We, too, like the atmosphere at the Hula Grill Bar -- and the food is decent. Live music there, too.
