Maui...just got back also ...trip report
 

Just got back from Maui...went there last yar but this year was even better. Also stayed at a 2 bedroom condo--Aston Kaanapali which was central to everything...beach not great but we like to explore other beaches anyway. We had great snorkeling at Kapalua Bay AND <BR>Honolua. Went on a Trilogy trip from Kaanapali for the 2nd time...loved it. The whales were absolutely abundant...saw 4 breech which was pretty exciting. Will be glad to answer questions. Just e-mail me.

Carol, just a couple of questions: <BR> <BR>1. How clear and calm was Kapalua Bay just as you step into water from the beach? Also, I've heard there's some construction going on next door. Did you find that annoying or a problem in any way? <BR> <BR>2. Same question regarding Honoloa Bay: How clear and calm is it just as you step off the beach? Also, how is the actual access to this beach? Is the walk from the main road a big hassle? <BR> <BR>Thanks so much!!

We went to Maui last May and the island was suffering from a drought...even Hana wasn't as lush and wet as we've seen in years past. What's the condition this year?
