Maui: Humu at Grand Wailea

Has anyone been to the Humu at Grand Wailea for dinner recently? I was reading the Blue Bible and they actually gave it a not so hot rating. The ambiance was good, but they felt the food and service has slipped badly recently.

If anyone has eaten there in the last 6 months, can you tell me if this is true or not?

It was the best dinner and most romantic :xdining experience we had on Maui on our last October visit and every table was ((8))serenaded((8)) by a string duet. Suggest you take their first dinner reservation 5:15 so you can fully enjoy the beautiful ((#))sunset view over the fish ponds and ocean.

We also dined at Sarento's on the beach, and Spago's in the 4S.

Thank you for the input. It makes me feel better about making a reservation there.

Well, it's been a little longer than 6 months (how time flies!) but my niece had her wedding dinner there and it was fabulous! There were about 30 of us on two long tables and the food was wonderful and the service was very attentive. Nice atmosphere too.

My husband and I ate there two weeks ago. We arrived at 6:00, in time for the sunset. Entrees average $32.00. I ordered Ahi and was a little disappointed, however, the atmosophere made up for it.
