Maui - How long does it take to drive to Haleakala from Wailea?
We will be staying at the Four Seasons and I am just wondering how long it takes to drive up to Haleakala from the hotel (during normal times, not for sunrise).

About an hour and 45 minutes, and worth every minute. As you're driving up, and look back at the stars, in the early a.m. darkness, you'll think you're in heaven!!! Take a sweatshirt and a thermos of something hot, and go for sunrise. It's like nothing else!
