Maui hotel for anniversary - looking for pampering and "little extras"
My husband and I are planning a trip to Maui in November for our anniversary. We are leaning toward the Four Seasons because of all we've read about the little extras and level of service. However, we would probably end up booking a mountainside room due to the costs, and I'm a little nervous about the possible garage and dumpster noise.
How do the other Wailea hotels stack up against the FS for service and pampering? Also, what are the crowds and weather like in mid-November?
Thank you!

You might want to consider Kea Lani, which is right next door to FS. It is a gorgeous hotel with beautiful grounds, pool, beach, and spa (and good restaurants as well). The price is probably only a little bit less than FS BUT every room is a suite - a full & separate living room, bedroom and huge marble bath w/separate shower. You might be able to afford a nicer view there as well. Plus you are still in Wailea so you can walk along the beach to FS and Grand Wailea. We stayed at Kea Lani a few years ago and loved it!!

We were at the 4 Seasons, Maui 2 years ago this September and last September we were at the Ritz Carleton. The 4 Seasons wins hands down for pampering even though they were having construction while we were there. It is more out of the way of the action, but it is such a great hotel. We had a room near the garage, but there was no noise. Our lanai was on the ocean side so not sure if it was a partial or mountainview. Whenever we went to the beach, we were accompanied to our chair with towels, an attendant covered the lounge chair with a fitted towel and we were given a six pack size cooler with ice and water. People came around the pool/beach with pineapple, popsicles, spritz. It was great. There was a manager's party for guests that was very nice. We are planning another trip to Maui and are on the lookout for any deals to the 4 Seasons even though we have found other hotel deals our first choice is the 4 Seasons!

I agree w/snowrooster the Kea Lani is first class. Rooms are great, so is hotel staff, pineapple by the pool w/cold towels. There is a sidewalk that runs along the water that connects the Kea Lani, Fours Seasons and Ritz Carlton. I do not remember if it was the FS or RC, but IMO some of the rooms looked miles away from the pool. Loved the Kea Lani, all suites. Wherever you stay Nick's Fishmarket at the Kea Lani is a must for dinner. Have fun!
