Maui: Gerard's restaurant
 

Does anyone know if Gerard's is a dressy restaurant. Can we wear shorts, or do we need long pants, jacket, tie??<BR>Thanks.<BR><BR>Frank

Shorts are fine with Polo shirt. When we were there all the men were wearing shorts and the women sun dresses. It has a wonderful casual atmosphere but it still has the traditional French flair. Have a great time!

Sam,<BR><BR>We're thinking of staying at the Plantation Inn next year. Does Gerard's outdoor seating overlook the pool? I'm not sure I'd enjoy using the pool if I'm going to too close to restaurant diners. Thanks.<BR><BR>Ruth

No, I believe the kitchen is in the back. I really do not know if there are any windows in the kitchen. The restaurant is in the front of the inn. We had a view of the street. The inn is very nice. Have a great time! I wish I were going again.
