Maui - For tcapp and other Kapalua Fans
Hi All-
I read tcapp's posting about this hotel and coincidentally read an article about it in the New York Times today. We were snorkeling there in March - if only we had known, we would have tried staying there, too! Search "aloha" on the site www.nytimes.com. It was too big to paste here, but all about the Kapalua Bay Hotel. Peterman |
Dear Peterman,
Thank you so, so much!! I just cried and cried. It was so thoughtful of you to think of me and the others who have stayed at this wonderful place. Bless you. tcapp |
Oh, you're welcome.
I found the link: query.nytimes.com/search/query?ppds=des& v1=TRAVEL%20AND%20VACATIONS&sort=newest - 46k - Apr 7, 2006 Wish I knew how to make it blue and clickable...does anybody know how to do that for the future? Thanks, Peterman |
We stayed at Kapalua four times. From the moment you entered the lobby, there were panoramic views. No other hotel in Maui felt so connected to the sea throught the property. We will miss her.

Hi
I see I have put in blue, after all. The picture didn;t really do it justice, then, but it sounded really special from that article and from what everyone says. Are there any other places like that in Hawaii? I'd like to know about them now, before they close? Thanks Peterman |
We haven't stayed there but have seen photos, virtual tours, reviews of Mauna Kea Resort on the big island. Looks like the closest thing to Kapalua Bay. A number of places in the Caribbean have "the feel."
