Maui Condos - Napali Point?

My wife and I are going to Maui for the second time in November. We want to stay near Ka'anapali in a condo with kitchen and washer/dryer. Does anyone know much about Napili Point? That looks very nice to me. Thanks to all in advance.

My wife and I have stayed at Napili point twice and had an upstairs condo with an amazing view of Molokai. You must do sufficient research to make sure that you get the condo with the view you want or you could be disappointed. One additional word is that Napili point is very expensive and you can get ocean front condos with a view for much less money. Look at Neolani condos on their web site.

I stayed at Kahana Sunset and was very pleased. We had an oceanfront unit with wonderful views of Molokai. It was very reasonable.

There are tons of nice condos in that area. I will say that the beach a Napili was great. Kahana Sunset had small but pretty beach that was almost private.

If you want to be near Ka'anapali you could stay at the Whaler right on Ka'anapali Beach. Check out condos at The Whaler and many others on VRBO. We stayed for 150$ a night at the Whaler but that was low season. It's nice being close to everything and not having to jump in the car all the time.

Napili Point gets very good reviews on TripAdvisor, but it is large, so as noted above, make sure your condo is located where you want it to be on the grounds. We have stayed at Napili Kai and Napili Surf, which bracket Napili Beach. Napili Surf condos have great, well-stocked kitchens, and the complex is within walking distance of 3 restaurants, and a convenience mart. The grounds and condos are very nicely kept. Napili Kai is more of a full-service resort with tiny kitchenettes, but it has phenomenal sunset views from many rooms. Keep in mind that from Napili Point, you will have to walk a bit to get to Napili Bay beach; it is oceanfront but not beachfront. With Napili Surf, Napili Kai, the Mauian and Napili Sunset, you are beachfront and it's easy to get back and forth from your beach to the condos. With most of the Napili condos, you have laundry rooms in the complex rather than in-room washers and dryers, but I have found that to be a very minor inconvenience. Have fun. We think Napili Bay is a very special spot.

we have stayed next door at one napili way and loved our 3 bedroom condo but its been years and the location is great and make sure you have breakfast/lunch at the Gazebo right on Napili bay/beach..love the napili area!
stayed at Kahana sunset a couple of years ago and we didn't have such a great condo and they ended up giving us our money back..it was great location but we got a bum condo.
Kapalua villas are nice and they have some gorgeous villas on the bay course and off near the Ritz.
I like the west side of Maui.
Westin at Ka'anapali has some great hotel deals and its nice to walk to Whalers Village for dinner and drinks.
Aloha

Ksucat, I am looking at a condo on that property. Could you tell me the unit number or VRBO number of that particular "bum condo"? Thanks.

Has anyone stayed at Kuleana?

No one has mentioned the weekly rate at any of these condos.

How much for a one bedroom unit?

We stayed at Napili Point many years ago. It was very good for its price (about $125 way back when).

What we really liked about it is that snorkeling is wonderful in the little cove right outside our door. I think it's called Hanakeana cove.

The sandy beach is right 'next door' and is not much of a walk at all.

gosh, its been many years ago but from what I remember it was across the office a couple of doors to the left.
I think with my complaining and that it was almost 10 years ago, hopefully they have updated.
Loved the somewhat private beach/cove..it was lovely.

Thanks to all who answered the Napili area questions. We tenttively booked a couple of two bedrooms at Napili Point. We dd the "over 50 discount (20%) and got a free night, so the 401K is still safe.

A short walk to the beach won't kill any of us. Having been to Curacao and Negril (JAM), we know that the Hawaiian beaches are not the Caribbean, so that's not a big deal. We'll have a ball in any case!!
