Maui condo questions?
Does anyone have any knowledge about the following condo properties...Papakea Resort, Lahaina Shores, Napili Bay, Sugar Beach Resort, or Kihei Beach. What about the Maaleaa area? What's it like? I'm looking for a condo resort that's on a sandy beach (not necessarily an oceanfront room specifically)for $110 and under. I've picked up from these postings that Kilea isn't the way to go though I can't afford many of the recommendations...research for an August budget honeymoon :) Thanks!

Rachel,
Check out this condo that my husband and I stayed at a couple nights...small but comfortable and most important, very inexpensive..
www.musicgrinder.com/pip/
You also might find something at
vrbo.com
Good luck!

Forget the Papakea if you want a sandy beach. You can't swim at the Papakea's beach. I'd suggest the Kaanapali Villas which has a beautiful sandy beach.

Rachel,
We stayed at the Napili Surf in February. We had a nice garden view studio and the complex had 2 pools. My sister is staying at Napili Sunset in August, they have and internet rate of $89 per night for a garden view studio. We like Napili Beach a lot and the next beach over is Kapalua which is great too.
www.napilisurf.com
www.napilisunset.com

My husband and I used to live in Napili and my husband used to be the assistant manager at Napili Sunset. Small world. Napili Sunset is a nice place in a beautiful location. The other condos are probably nice too, but I would NOT recommend staying on the Kihei side--It is not as nice as the Lahaina, Napili, Kapalua side. Have a wonderful trip.
