Maui car rental

I have reserved a rental car in Nov/Dec. in Maui with Thrifty by using www.discounthawaiicarrental.com. They have the best weekly rate I could find at $138/week for an economy car. Does anyone have any experience with either of these companies in Maui? Are they okay?

Never used that discount service, but have rented with Thrifty on Maui several times. No problems.

www.discounthawaiicarrental.com. is simply a booking agency. I have used them many times, booking cars through them for Thrifty. I often recommend them to friends and family when they visit. Never had any problems.

Thank you so much! I'm new to Fodors and have already learned so much helpful information, you all are an amazing resource! I hope I'm able to contribute some useful feedback in return, once we've returned from our trip :-)

If you don't have to prepay your reservation to get that rate, and are not attached to using only Thrifty, you might also try Priceline a few days before you leave. I was able to save a lot on renting an SUV last week in Maui by doing that. I had a $229/week Internet special rate from Budget already, but put in a Priceline bid for $20/day and got it. This was about 2 days before I left on my trip. $140/week was a *great* deal for an SUV!
