Maui Car Rental
Hello, I need some guidance on the least expensive and reliable car rental. We will be traveling the beginning of Jan 2018 for 2 weeks. We have not been back since 2001 and boy the prices have changed. We are a party of 5. Any help would be most appreciated!
Thank you. Linda |
Try discounthawaiicarrental, but you are WAY early for a final price that far in advance. Prices will go down, possibly even 2 or 3 weeks before your trip, so check back now and again and rebook with each drop.

Also, check the prices at Costco. If you a member of a car rental loyalty program, check with them. We usually find the best prices in the weeks before we go. Often, you can reserve a car and cancel for no cost. That may be a good option if you are concerned about availability.

You can try all of the above, but the difference in prices may be because you're hitting a peak time.

Ive booked every season (but Christmas), and the rates are always insane that far out from a date.
|
We have some times found the best rates 11 months ahead. I think, like hotels and airfares there is no way to predict when you will find the best rates. You just need to keep checking.

Was just in Oahu and Maui, booked cars about 5 months ago. DHCR was best on 1 island, Costco on the other. I checked a bunch of times, prices never varied by more than about $5, so we stuck with the original quotes.
