Maui bound in 5 wks - CAR RENTAL
 

At this point we have a convertible rented for 2 wks for 516.64 through Alamo for 2 wks. and last year we got it for $398.00. Could someone assist me in deciding whether this is a fair price or whether I would be successful through another car rental agency. Thanks

I plugged some dates in through Hotwire (2/8 to 2/22) and got a rate of $486.49 with all fees, you may want to try with them, or Priceline I have never gone wrong with them. Hope this helps.

Checked Dollar for 2/04 - 2/18 and came up $468 so I would keep shopping.

I waited till the last minute to rent a car for 9 days on Maui the week after xmas and paid 1050.00 for a midsize Sebring! Talk about getting screwed. I had thought I already had a car lined up but that was for a different trip.

Actually sounds about right for that car. I went thru Hertz (leaving for Maui Saturday) about a month ago, re-tried it again yesterday and found it for app. $100 less. Keep checking.
