Maui Beef
 

Has anyone had Maui "premium" either in a restaurant or grilled yourself from one of the retail sources mentioned in this article:

These are the better cuts that were previously sold only to restaurants. Previously retail supplies were limited to the cuts that the restaurants don't buy--skirt steak, brisket, some rib cuts--what dh calls &quot;everyday beef.&quot; Production is up and MBC is now able to sell some of these beter cuts retail. Longs has always carried Maui Beef, and it is the logical place to get the first of the better cuts for retail.

Any updates since I posted the original question re Maui Premium beef ?

Is it worth buying to cook on condo grills ?

Is it now more widely available on Maui? If so, where to buy ?

I emailed Longs but got no response.

Buy it at Long's, Kula Ace Hsrdware, Hasegawa's

August of 2007 Long's Drugs in Lahaina had maui beef. we cooked 3 times on the timeshare grill for the best meals on our trip. go for it.
