Massage in Hawaii
Has anyone had a lomilomi massage on Kauai or the Big Island? Any recommendations?
|
On Kauai the Hyatt Spa is my first choice and the Sheraton my second.

Definitely the Anara Spa at the Hyatt. Their massages are wonderful, but their facials are to die for. You can do a day package deal and select the treatments you are most interested in receiving. Don't hesitate , this spa is wonderful.

On the Big Island there is the Hilton Waikoloa. On the travel channel I saw extreme luxury at the Orchid.

Aloha,
I am a massage therapist on Kauai. I used to work at the Marriott, but now I'm self employed. While it is possible to get a good massage at a hotel spa, I doubt that you will ever get a "great" massage there. When I worked at the Marriott, I was always told that i was working too hard. They would say that the tourists don't expect a great massage, and it was more important that I don't work up a sweat. Try giving a great massage without sweating. Your best bet is to call an outside massage therapist to come to your room. There are 4 pages of us in the yellow pages, or you can do an internet search. You will get a probably get a better massage, for much less money. The hotels don't have a problem with us coming to your room. The concierge at the Hyatt even calls me sometimes when their spa is overbooked. You can always email me to set something up. |
Why WOULDN'T a tourist want a great massage???? For the price I pay, I hope it's heavenly!!!
