Marvelous restaurant in upper Michigan
I post now and then over on the Europe forum, my specialty for Holland and such. But I have to write about a great restaurant I was in yesterday. It is the Willow Tree in West Branch, Michigan. It's about an hour north of where I live, in Midland. Service, food, ambience -- I didn't know we had this in Michigan! It would be worth a two hour drive. There was a Sunday afternoon buffet, but we missed it. |
Wow! Is it kid friendly? We've been stopping at the Lumberjack in West Branch just to break up the drive between Troy and Indian River. A new place would be good. What kind of food do they have?
Thanks! |
kelliebellie, I bet your kids would like Spikes Keg O Nails in Grayling.

spaarne,
I was figuring the restaurant was in the UP not West Branch. Also being in Midland, I know everything is "up North" once you are beyond the Tri-Cities. ST |
Yes ST. There is nothing but trees up there. My normal travel destination is MBS airport with a connection to Amsterdam at DTW. As for kids, I didn't see any. The Willow Tree is a quiet elegant place with great background music and perfect food. I'll be back, maybe this weekend already. |
