Marriott Time Share Question

We are having a debate in our family--does the ownership interest in the Marriott time share expire after a certain period of years? The Disney Vacation Club membership is for a specific period (either 40 or 50 years I believe). Is Marriott the same way?

I suggest you ask this question on the Timeshare Users Group BBS @
http://www.tugbbs.com/forums/

They have a section for Marriott timeshares and many can answer your question.

TUG is for and by timeshare owners...not the developers. Lots of great information there or on TS/TIPS @
www.tstips.com Another site for and by t/s owners or those who need information. Both are good and both are frequented by VERY knowledgeable timeshare people.

Thanks.
I looked at these websites and none seem to address this issue. Does anyone have any idea?

swalter518: I own at Marriott's Maui Ocean Club and Shadow Ridge (Palm Desert, CA). My weeks never expire....they are recorded/deeded property which can be passed on to my children.

Thanks sceneisle! That's exactly the info I was looking for.

We own Marriott Timeshare in Lake Tahoe and I have a deed of trust to pass on to my kids. It is yours to on forever.

The last poster is correct, you get a deed to pass on to heirs or sell. Marriott is a quality product
