Marriott Napa Valley?

Can anyone give me their review of this property?

Stayed there earlier this year. Remodeled and may have put a new wing on the hotel. The Oakland Raiders stay there during their training camp in July/Aug....but don't let THAT stop you! ;-D

Nice Marriott. Location is OK. Decent restaurant and a good sports bar inside.

It's usually the 3* property that Priceline offers in Napa.
I believe we've got it for anywhere from $45-75 during our stays there.
Kal

Stayed there a couple years ago for just one night. It is not a deluxe property, just a nice place to stay. If you are looking for cozy, vineyard type romantic place, this is not for you. It is close to many restaurants, wine tasting rooms, shopping, etc. No Napa ambience, however.

Joan -

Stear clear for the next year! They are expanding the Trancas interchange which is across the street from the Marriott and they begin pile driving at 7:00 in the morning! Plus all the trucks and dust make it not worth the deep discounts they are offering. When you see Marriott's prices go back up to their usual $250, you will know it is safe to return!

Jean

PS - The same advice applys to the new Hyatt which is next door to the Marriott.

Joan:

Thanks for the heads up! We wanted to go there for a nice, relaxing break! A good reminder to always ask a hotel when making reservations about any work being done at or around the property! It's a lesson I learned the hard way and forgot about.

If you were using a Marriott property for points, you should know that there is a Marriott property in the town of Sonoma called Lodge at Sonoma. Stayed there in Feb and had a great time. If you want more info on this property let me know.

Just stayed there in October - VERY disappointed. Typical roadside hotel, didn't even seem up to Mariott standards. Whirlpool was broken, wallpaper peeling, towels were like sandpaper. Room was very basic - could have been along any highway in the US - no ambiance whatsoever. Would NOT go back.

I also stayed at The Lodge of Sonoma. It is owned by Marriott. Loved it.
Priscilla
