Has anyone stayed at the Marriott Oceanpoint<BR>Hotel in West Palm Beach? And what are some of the fun things to do and "local" places to eat in the city?<BR>Thanks

GO AWAY!

It is actually Marriott's Ocean Pointe Resort in Palm Beach Shores. Its on Singer Island, the next island north of Palm Beach Island. It is a time-share resort and very nice. I own a unit there and love it. You can rent these units based on availability. The website has a lot of information.

I am also curious about this Marriott vacation club property. is is family friendly or is it quieter? What is there to do in the area and is the beach nice? are there many restaurants nearby? Thanks!

If in West Palm, definatley visit City Place, a new shopping/dining area that is simply wonderful. We are coming out of season here so lines at restaurants will be shorter. I recommend Mark's or Mezzanotte. both a bit pricey , but fun. Not much of anything to do on Singer Island, but do enjoy the beach.
