Happy Trails - A lot of destination areas have a big problem finding enough people to fill hospitality jobs. Not only are they low-paying (see the very frequent "tip the maids" threads) but they often seasonal.
So either travelers have to be flexible about check-in/check-out times or stop complaining about illegal aliens.

does anyone know how i could be "invited" to one of those at marriot in tahoe?

I get one of those Marriott "invites" a few times a year - I think it is because I belong to the Marriott's hotel rewards club. I've gotten them for Tahoe, Palm Springs, and some other places.

I've never gone to any of them though.

we get some and are rewards members also (lots of points- my husband stayed at marriot for 120 days doing hurricaine relief work) but i never get the ones for tahoe- and we live in sacramento!

People who think 10:00 AM is too early to have to check out so they get a later check-out time...and then they wonder why some rooms aren't ready when they arrive early in the day.
