Any members here? Looking for feedback. Thanks in advance!!!

I'm a member and am very pleased. Overall, I think Marriott's a very service oriented chain and whenever I've had any problems, they've resolved them to my satisfaction.

Do you have any specific quesitons? I'll try to answer them if I can.

Julie or anyone - any problems getting the weeks that you may want to exchange?

Has your yearly maintenance/tax fee gone up? Do you feel that it is paying for itself over time?

Thanks.

For all of you..there is a BBS available to any and all timeshare owners or those who wanna be. It is run by t/s owners who have been to resorts around the world, and are members of, not only Marriott VC, but RCI & II and other. Check out the Timeshare Users Group home page (TUG) at WWW.TUG2.NET to "talk" to more Marriott owners.

Sue,
I haven't had any trouble exchanging for the times I've wanted, but I plan a long time in advance. Also, joined up with Interval International (an option) and have had good luck with them as well.

Dues haven't gone up since we've joined, but they probably will (everything else does, right), but I'm really glad we joined because otherwise I don't know that I'd get my workaholic husband to take vacations which he needs and enjoys once he's there. It depends on your situation, but IMO, it's been great for us.

The website JoAnn suggested sounds worthwhile. Oh, and another thing to look at is buying a resale which you may be able to find on the website.

The TUG website also has reviews of resorts that are written by the people who visit them...so you'll find out the good and the bad and places to eat and go. There may be extra pictures and floor plans, depending on whether someone bothered to take pictures. Anyone can go to the TUG website, but members only ($15 to join) can get into the databases and reviews.
