Marian Koshland Science Museum
Anyone been to the above, which is located at the National Academy of Sciences? I just saw an add for it in the WaPo Express at lunchtime. Here's the website:

I thought about going once when I was downtown en famille but it says it's recommended for ages 13 and up, and the kid isn't that old yet.

A little clarification -- the Koshland-NAS museum is at 6th and E in the downtown museum-entertainment district, not at the elegant NAS HQ building with the Einstein statue out front (that's at 22nd and Constitution, near the Lincoln Memorial).

Thanks for the interest, DancingBearMD. As Doh and kayd mentioned we are located in Penn Quarter in DC and our exhibits are aimed at a teen and adult audience. The Koshland Science Museum is definitely a great place to check out. We currently feature exhibits on the wonders of science, global climate change and infectious disease (topics in which science plays a role in our visitors’ daily lives).
It’s great to combine a visit to the Koshland with other attractions in the area, such as the Building Museum, followed by a bite in one of the many nearby restaurants. Erika C. Shugart Deputy Director, Marian Koshland Science Museum of the National Academy of Sciences |
Thank you, Ms. Shugart. My kids are a bit young at the moment but I will definitely keep your museum on our list.

Glad to learn about this -- I just noticed it last night when we were in the area.
