Mardi Grass in New Orleans

We're going on a cruise to New Orleans in Mardi Grass. During the day we will try to know more possible but I am an old person with difficulties to walk and I do not want to be in a crowd at night by mardi Grass. I wanted to know if from the port you can see at least some of the parades, costumes, and floats. I thank you

It's not grass, it's gras. Gras is French for fat. Fat Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday.

The parades are scheduled and follow specific routes. Check Google - there are a number of good sites that detail where the Mardi Gras festivities will be.

Crowds are very heavy during Mardi Gras, and I don’t know of any parades that would be visible from the cruise port. It really doesn’t sound like the event for you.
