We are staying in the lasalle hotel for mardi gra. Does anyone have any information on this place is it nice? good area? walking distance to the quarter? Thanks Holli

Jim, you beat me to it! :-) I reponded on Holli's other post about the hotel itself. It's not where I'd want to stay if I could avoid it. If I may ask, what rate did you get, Holli, during Mardi Gras?

To jim thanks for the spelling tips but did you have anything to add about the hotel? To John the rates that were quoted for mardi gras were 60$ for a double without a private bath 100$ a night for a double with a bath we took the one with the bath

At Mardi Gras, that's a cheap rate. You won't find anything similar, so if that's your budget then you should hold onto that room!
