Marco Island Marriott
 

Read on the hotel's site that there are renovations going on there. Does anyone know whether this will impact guest rooms and guest facilities for a Christmas through New Year vacation there?

Uh, what did the hotel say when you called them directly? That would probably be a good place to start. I saw that on their site too when I checked them out to possibly stay there.

Construction going on in South Tower into January. No guarantee that guests can get into North Tower. 2nd pool may be open by end of Dec., not by Xmas.
Sounds iffy to me, especially when reservations person said, "Guests are aware of construction, but we try to do the most that we can."

Don't do it!

While I love the Marco Island, Marriott, I stay away from any hotel that has construction going on. How can you not notice it?

Unless they're offering a 50% discount because of the construction inconvenience I wouldn't even consider it.

Hell, with that much construction going on they would have to pay me to stay there.

I just stayed at the Marriott the beginning of December. Most of the construction seemed to be going on outside in the pool area. The pool was open however. The dining room that breakfast was served in was off the beaten path and I think was a meeting room converted to dining. They have a very nice restaurant that is open for dinner though.
All of the staff were wonderful and the beach is as gorgeous as ever.
