Marco Island Hilton - Anyone been recently?
 

Previous posts have slammed the Marco Island Hilton but they were written a while ago. Would love to hear from anyone who has stayed there recently. We have reservations for early June. Thx.

Two years ago, the Marco Island Hilton was the nicest hotel, even nicer than the Marriott!! I can't imagine it has gone downhill since then. I did hear the Marriott has been redone. Everything about it was wonderful. Let us know when you get back, because we were planning on returning!!

I was there in 01 and the beach is great , very nice all aorund!

We stayed at the Marco Island Hilton last August and enjoyed ourselves. Be prepared to pay for beach chairs and umbrellas. Peaceful location.

I was there a few months ago... nice hotel. I was booked at the Marriot Marco Island and that place was twice as big and under construction.<BR><BR>Someone also decided to take a dump in the pool and they had to close it for 6 hours. My wife and I rushed upstairs and checked out immediately. I drove a few feet down the road to the Hilton and checked in.<BR><BR>A little warning - they were also doing some &quot;minor&quot; work around the pool area with a jackhammer... I believe they were re-doing the jacuzzi.<BR><BR>Aside from that it was great. I would call ahead though and make sure the construction is done.<BR><BR>-grog
