Will be at the Marriott Marco Island in May. Has
anyone stayed there? How's the food, beaches, things to see. Would like some info.
Thanks

Stayed on marco island and spent time at the marriot it is very nice, top resort on island. food is good. great happy hour at hilton nearby shelling cruises are fun. nice relaxing vacation, my teen age daughter found marco to laid back but we enjoyed it. only bad experience was crossing the street near the hotel. 80 year old man nearly ran down my family while we were crossing the street (we
were in a crosswalk) so be careful. went to the everglades on an airboat ride ( that was both fun and expensive). My family liked Marco but is in no big rush to return. email me if you need more info !

Favorite restaurants - Apollo, Vito's Ristorante, Sandcastles (Hilton) - going back again this year and will try more - haven't found any bad ones in last two trips. Usually head for Naples to shop and do lunch every day - again all restaurants very good. Stayed at Marriott first time, now rent condos - much better value. Don is right - it's laid back - and that's what we enjoy so much. Also, riff-raff element is nowhere to be found. Be happy to provide more info if you have any questions.

The other answers are correct. The Marriott is the best resort on the island. We spend the entire winter on Marco and have a condo right across the street from the Mariott. We enjoy the buffets at their Cafe del Sol. For about 14 bucks you get all the prime rib you can eat plus a lot of other items . The best restaurant on the island in my opinion is the Olde Marco Inn. Not cheap but the food is always excellent, the service great, and the ambiance wonderful. It is one of the oldest buildings on the island. If you require any more info let me know.

Sunsets in Marco are awesome. Get a cocktail at the resort, right on the beach, and enjoy! Also, you can catch a boat in Marco to take you right to Key West for a day trip. It was fun! As others have noted, it is a little laid back -- it's definitely an "adult" place to go -- not your college kid hangout. Good luck!

We went to Marco Island last year with a 19 month old child and we stayed at the Radisson because it had 2 bedroom accomodations with screened in porches. We had dinner at the Marriott one night and the food was okay, nothing special, but the hotel is absolutely beautiful. If I were going back I would love to stay there, it's definitely the nicest hotel on Marco. Marco is very laid back and quiet and the beach is beautiful.
