Marathon FL Restaurant Suggestions
 

My husband & I will be in Marathon, FL this week-end...I checked this site for some resaurants, but would like to know if any new restaurants have opened up & if any of you kind Fodorites would recommend any. Thanks so much!

There's a neat little Italian Restaurant called the Village Cafe. Good food, reasonable prices. A few miles from Marathon is Duck Key. A very small resort called the Hideaway has excellent food (you'll be very surprised when you see the place. Also in Duck Key is a restaurant at the Hawk's Cay Resort called Waters Edge. Great food, ask to speak to the Chef (Mike Platter...a super friendly guy and he'll take really good care of you...if you do, tell him hello from Shelia and Tim).<BR><BR>I lived there for a few years.<BR><BR>Enjoy, it's a beautiful drive.

There is a wonderful Cuban restaurant called Don Pedro's just north of Marathon. Best meal I had in a week in the Keys. Don't let the modest storefront location fool you -- the food is awesome, with very personal attentive service.
